Renault Samsung Motors Co.,is to recall more then 390,000 cars sold in South Korea for loose engine mounts.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on Wednesday, a bolt holding down the engine mount of the vehicles on recall may become too loose, causing the engine to shake, creating excessive noise.
The ministry said the recall affects over 185,000 SM3 compact passenger cars produced by the local unit of French carmaker Renault S.A. between April 2009 and June 2015. Some 206,900 SM5 sedans put out between August 2009 and June 2015 are also involved.
Free repair services will be available at Renault Samsung service centers across the country from tomorrow (Friday).
