An unfinished build of Sonic 3 has surfaced online and it's one of the most interesting betas to come from a Sonic game. Not only is the Drop Dash (yes, that mechanic introduced in Sonic Mania) fully implemented but we get a glimpse at a Michael Jackson-less score, at it sounds very familiar.
