So here is my complete Sapodilla seed germination experiment from start to finish over a period of approximately 8 weeks. I am trying 3 different methods I have come across online. Planting the seeds directly into pots of compost from the start, the 2nd method of placing the seeds into damp paper towels in a sealed polythene bag, and the 3rd method of putting the seeds into damp spaghnum moss until they germinate then potting them up.
It's not particularly scientific as some of the seeds may have been more viable than others which could of course affect germination rates.
It looks like the moss method was the fastest as this seedling was the first to break soil and open its seed leaves. I will do a separate video in a few weeks time if any others germinate.
