Elizabeth and his aunt and uncle, Mr and Mrs Gardiner, get a tour of the estate with one of the Darcy's servants, a nice old lady. She shows them the prettiest rooms and talks of the family, informing them Mr Darcy is a kind master, a kind tennant and a very agreeable young man.
Mrs Gardiner is surprised, all in Meryton know how much he hurt Mr Wickham... but Elizabeth's opinion is much changed since she's known the truth of the matter and hearing even more people vouch for Mr Darcy's kindness is making her rethink her whole idea of the man.
