Sometimes when I’m trying to find what the bass want I will use a snap swivel. This presented a problem with most spinnerbaits on the market, I solved this problem with a little piece of rubber tubing like the ones you can find on the Bass Pro Shops Swim Baits or and a slip bobber knot tube. Both of these will work but the rubber tube works best because it flexes more. Now while you’re searching for bass and or what they want to eat you’ll be able to use a great search bait in the spinnerbait. Once you get on a bite I do recommend tying the lure directly to the line because sometimes the slightest thing can spook the fish.
