Additional evacuation warnings were issued as the uncontained Bond Fire “rapidly” grew to 3,600 acres in Orange County, California, on Thursday, December 3, fire officials said.
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) issued additional voluntary evacuation warnings and announced road closures in the early hours of Thursday. The OCFA “strongly” encouraged evacuees to seek shelter with friends, family, or in a hotel as coronavirus restrictions limit what type of group shelter can be offered.
The blaze began with a house fire and was threatening structures in Silverado Canyon and Williams Canyon, local media reported.
