What would you recommend getting after CompTIA A+? Network+ or Security+?
That’s a good question. For me, I ended up getting A+ and then Security+, and then Network+ after that. It’s generally a good idea to get that CompTIA trifecta.
You also get a couple stackable certes these days if you get all three of those.
And then after that, I would kind of venture into some vendor certifications.
For me, I ended up getting CCNA and then some Microsoft certs.
So an equivalent today–you might look into getting AZ-900 which is Azure Fundamentals,
Or AZ-500, which is some kind of security-related Azure cert, or the AWS counterparts,
Or look into CCNA if you’re interested in networking (difficult).
But after the CompTIA trifecta, I would try to start working to be honest,
and then kind of figure out what you like and then go from there!
Super good question, and good luck with whatever you decide to do!
