The third part of our epic campervan series encompassing the whole of New Zealand in 2 months. This episode takes us at to the northernmost point of NZ, Cape Reinga. We embark on some breathtaking Coastal hikes, Halloween at a haunted theme park and scuba diving with fur seals at the Poor Knights Islands!

Days 13/14: New Plymouth - Waitomo 01:32
After leaving New Plymouth behind, we explore the natural coastal rock features of the Three Sisters and Elephant Rock before heading north to Waitomo. After settling in at a rural farm setting we explore some of the caverns and their glow worms tht make this region famous.

Day 15: Waitomo - Raglan 08:06
An action packed day of sightseeing! From Waitomo we head out to the Mangapohue Natural bridge, an epic cavernous structure made of lime stone and the spectacular Marakopa Falls. Afterwards we take in the seclusion of Kawhia hot water beach with our own hot water pool on an empty geothermal beach then head up to Raglan with a stop at the Bridal Veil Falls and vegan pizza's with a breathtaking view at Solscape.

Day 16: Raglan - Auckland 20:19
The Hamilton Botanical Gardens were an unexpected treasure. Leaving Raglan early due to heavy rains we found ourself with a few spare hours in Hamilton and these themed gardens were overwhelmingly delightful. Miranda and I both agree that they were among the best city gardens in the world! Afterwards we meet up with my friend Julia for Halloween at New Zealands largest Haunted theme Park, Spookers!

Day 17: Auckland 33:18
We explore the largest city in NZ, with helpfrom our friends Julia, Fabio and Silvia. They take us to mission bay and the Domain before we head to the sky tower for sunset and cocktails. In the evening we explore the harbour and the dazzling lights of the cityscape traveling by electric scooter.

Days 18/19: Auckland - Tutukaka (Poor Knights Islands Diving) 38:38
A small stop in Mangawhai beach before heading to Tutukaka for the night. The next morning we head out with Dive! Tutukaka to the Poor Knights Islands. A unique group of Volcanic island with impressive arches, cliffs and caverns that attract sealife in abundant numbers due to warm currents that reach the island. We explore these impressive structures and scuba dive with large schools of fish as well as Giant Rays and playful New Zealand Fur Seals. An amazing day!

Day 20: Paihia (Waitangi Treaty Grounds) 52:40
After a brief stop at Haruru Horseshoe falls we head to NZ's most important historical sight, Waitangi Traty Grounds. We learn the history of the only indigenous treaty ever signed by the British Crown with any of its colonies, also the trils and hardships of 2 completely different cultures coming together.

Day 21/22: Paihia - Cape Reinga 01:02:46
Heading to the Northernmost point of NZ, we stop at the Te Paki Giant Sand Dunes and climb some of its impressive 150m (approx) Dunes and explore this surreal and ever changing landscape. After arriving at the Cape we head out on or first hike in the region to a serene beach along coastal cliffs. The following morning we embark on another breathtaking coastal hike, this time with the weather clearing we had spectacular views of the cape and its lighthouse set amongst dramatic coastal cliffs.
