So I tried to calculate the actual input impedance to prove my point. The result was 360k, and that is being generous. It explains the loading effect on passive Stratocaster pickups.
For controls and comparisons, I also measure the input impedance of my BOSS TU-2, MXR Micro Chorus, Peavey Rage 158 amp, and EHX Big Muff.
