"We are incredibly fortunate here in Korea to still be able to go to our studios, go see exhibitions, and have careful interactions. As most of my family and many of my dearest friends are in the US and abroad I have thought of them daily in these moments of distance and separation.

One of the greatest challenges we all face is how to remain connected and productive. With that in mind, I am pleased to present my small part of the world here in Seoul City Mullae along with a sample of a video project which I have been working on via remote control with Charles Munka. Pre-COVID we were able to shoot in 4 locations including Busan, Seoul, Minnesota, and Sado Island.

"한국에서는 계속 스튜디오에 나가서 작업도 할 수 있고, 전시회를 관람 할 수 있고, 조심스럽지만 사람들을 계속 만날 수 있다는 점에서 저희가 굉장히 운이 좋은 것 같습니다. 제 소중한 가족들과 친구들은 미국을 포함한 해외에 거주하고 있기 때문에, 저는 이 시기에 느끼는 거리감, 그리고 분리된 일상에 대해 매일매일 생각하고 있습니다.

우리 모두가 직면하고 있는 가장 큰 문제는 어떻게 하면 우리가 서로 연결되어 있으면서도 생산적인 활동을 할 수 있을 것인가 일 것 입니다. 이 점을 염두에 두고, 저는 서울 문래동에서 찰스 문카와 함께 리모컨으로 작업한 비디오 프로젝트의 샘플 영상으로 함께 저의 소소한 일상을 공유하게 되어 매우 기쁩니다. '코로나 19'가 발생하기 전 저희는 부산, 서울, 미네소타, 그리고 사도가 섬 등 네군데의 장소에서 촬영을 할 수 있었습니다."
