Ronald Savage said he pretended to be older when the alleged abuse took place and that Afrika Bambaataa thought he was older.

Ronald Savage said if he did take a bag (money) it should be considered an out-of-court settlement. He only wanted to know, "Why me?" Ronald Savage said he did it because he "wanted to be down."

Ronald Savage said this is a personal matter and no one else's business.

Ronald Savage said Mickey Bentson is his cousin and that those phone calls were leaked without his permission.

Ronald Savage recorded the calls and gave them to Hassan Campbell, the NY Daily News, the Star Report, and other journalists.

Ronald Savage said that the Child Victims Act lawsuit that he said he was filing but didn’t was so that other people (like me who is not a party in any lawsuit) could get money from Bambaataa.

Ronald Savage said I wanted him to follow my agenda and narrative. He has not defined what that narrative and agenda are.

Ronald Savage said he was attacked by me the day after the Child Victims Act deadline passed. On this same day, Ronald Savage began a YouTube tour telling the public that I forced him to do the documentary. By me challenging this lie, he claims he was "attacked." I can no longer entertain him and these matters. I moved on last August. If he continues his current course of action, he is doing it on his own and without provocation on my part. His interview footage will remain available to the public.

I apologize to the public for my role in promoting his false narrative. He has recently said publicly that he pretended to be older and that Bambaataa thought he was older. I did not have this information at the time of his interviews. I work extremely hard to ensure I am communicating factual information in my reporting and apologize for my role in misleading the public in the case of Ronald Savage.

Let us all hope Ronald Savage can move on and that he gets the professional help he needs.
