Welcome to the unofficial recording of Salem Academy Charter School's production of The Addams Family musical! As a proud parent, I had the opportunity to capture the incredible talent and hard work of the students in this production, which is based on the classic comic strip by Charles Addams, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.

In this production, you'll see an amazing group of students bring to life the iconic characters of The Addams Family. Jake Fisher plays the role of Gomez Addams, the patriarch of the family, while Skylar Winter takes on the role of Morticia Addams, his wife. Kaitlin Modaff portrays their daughter, Wednesday Addams, and Ashton Ainworth plays her younger brother, Pugley Addams. Honor Tran brings Grandma Addams to life with her hilarious and eccentric character, while Serena Grayson plays the role of Fester, the quirky uncle. Jose Deblas takes on the role of Lurch, the imposing butler, and Sebastian Minaya-Ubiera and Oksana Platonova play the Beineke couple, Mal and Alice, respectively. Kacper Brzozowski plays their son, Lucas Beineke.
The production is also supported by an incredible crew, including Theatrical Director Haley Hewson, Technical Director Maddison Whittington, Musical Director Corey Kilgarriff, Pianist and Assistant Musical Director Jess Modaff, and Choreographer Ashley Spingett. Vincent Pacheco serves as the Stage Manager, and Anashla De Los Santos, Elaine Gutierrez, and Abby Lopez work as the Assistant Stage Managers. Jacob Griffin and Jordan Libby are responsible for the lighting, while Maeva Chiminje takes care of sound. Velda Brickner works her magic on the costumes, and Alicia Chiminje, Beatrice Cox, Chris Alix, Christian Halpin, Dania Elrhazlani, Hannan Leonard, and Maddy Hayward round out the crew members.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the parents, teachers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this production possible. Without their dedication and support, we would not have been able to witness the amazing talent and creativity of the students of Salem Academy Charter School. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the creators of The Addams Family, Charles Addams, Marshall Brickman, Rick Elice, and Andrew Lippa, for sharing their wonderful work with the world.
It's important to note that this video is an unofficial recording of the performance, captured by me, a proud parent, using amateur equipment. It is not intended to replace any official releases of the show but rather to share the incredible talent and hard work of the students with a wider audience.
Thank you for watching and supporting the arts in our community!
Act One:
The Addams Family is preparing for a visit from Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. Gomez is excited for the visit, while Morticia worries that Wednesday is growing up and changing. Wednesday confides in her father about her relationship with Lucas, and he promises to keep it a secret from Morticia. Meanwhile, Pugsley worries about losing his sister's attention. As the Beineke family arrives, chaos ensues, and Wednesday reveals her engagement to Lucas. The two families try to reconcile their differences over dinner but end up in a heated argument. As a result, Wednesday and Lucas call off their engagement.
Act Two:
Gomez and Morticia try to get their relationship back on track, while Wednesday and Lucas reconcile and decide to run away together. The family tries to stop them, but with the help of the ancestors, they realize that they must let Wednesday grow up and make her own choices. The families come together, and the Addams family performs a rousing musical number to celebrate Wednesday and Lucas's love. The show ends on a high note as the Addams family reaffirms their love and acceptance of one another, no matter how different they may be.
