(warning: distressing) Tragedy struck this morning as 2 trains collided head-on in Greece, killing at least 36 and injuring dozens more. Multiple cars derailed, and at least three burst into flames following the collision.
The local station master has been arrested and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis has resigned, saying he felt it was his ‘duty’ to step down ‘as a basic indication of respect for the memory of the people who died so unfairly.’
