The intense and bizarre obsession with Orania from the media, click hungry content creators, right-wingers, leftist white liberals and black supremacists is, odd at best, at worst it borders on disingenuous. Why is the, at times, fanatical coverage of a private company in a remote, desolate region of South Africa with a negligible population that is largely self-sufficient so important?

I initially interviewed Jooste Stydom in August 2020 because so many of my viewers wanted me to do the interview. He was kind enough to grant the zoom interview and we discussed Orania. Recently I was in South Africa and repeatedly asked to travel to Orania. I get this request frequently.
