Fear is an ever-present element in the experience of teaching and learning - specifically in the arts. 'I can't draw...I'm just not that creative....I only draw stick-figures..." What if we could enable our students (and our future teachers) to deliberately confront fear and work with it?
Dr. Baer’s research interests are in pre-service teacher education, teacher confidence and fear, care in the classroom, and technology in teaching and learning. Baer has taught at the K-12 and post-secondary levels since 2004. She has published several articles and won awards for both her research and teaching. She is excited and humbled to be included in TEDxMiamiUniversity. Website: drbaer.weebly.com
