"Perks of Being a Wallflower"
Choreographed by Jon
Think back to your first day of high school. This set, based on the popular novel and movie, focuses on Charlie, a young, introverted boy, as he attempts to make friends and survive his freshman year of high school. He makes friends along the way, experiences the ups and downs of a relationship, and everything else that comes in between hormones, drugs, and emotions. Regardless of age, Charlie can teach us that tomorrow will always be a brighter day.
I would personally like to thank everyone who devoted so much time and effort in helping me create this set. This set would have not been possible without everyone's passion for dance and artistic encouragement. Every practice, yelling homeless man or not, was such a blessing and I deeply thank you for that. I also want to thank and congratulate all the soon-to-be-graduating seniors; some of you have been the source of my inspiration and will continue to serve as so far after you leave Berkeley.
Performed at Berkeley High Schwimley Little Theater.
