1. SOUNDBITE (English) Stefan Dennis and Mischa Barton, actors - on The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz recently revealing he regrets killing Mischa's character and the death scene:
Barton: "It was, you know, one of his first really big shows as a writer. I'm sure that was a bit complicated to figure out how to navigate. And, you know, you learn as your career goes on, right?"

"I think it's very sweet that the fans are so, and still get so upset about, you know, Marissa's death. So spoiler alert but I think everybody knows at this point. So, yeah, it's been - it's a very kind of, like, the older I get, the more charmed I am by hearing these stories of people who were very moved by it. Because I recently re-watched it myself and I was saying to people, 'It's actually like, it's amazing.' There's no music. Like, the car blows up, it's on fire - like, all this stuff I'd forgotten about. And it's actually kind of..."
Dennis: "So there was no music over it?"
Barton: "No, it's like one of the rare moments in the whole show, because the show was very driven by music as well. And then all of a sudden it just goes, like, really quiet and he's, like, walking down the street, like, holding my lifeless body. I know."
Dennis: "That''s quite cool."
