Janine De Mesa served as an Air Force medic working alongside military doctors and nurses in med/surg, OBGYN, and In-vitro fertilization prior to starting her own journey experimenting with psychedelics and learning about its effects on mental health. Her fascination with the transformative and healing benefits of plant medicine prompted her to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology focusing on the study of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Janine's unique trajectory reflects an intersection of her military background, compassion for healing, and intellectual curiosity that drives her to study the complexities of the mind. With a blend of experiential knowledge and scholarly pursuits, she is determined to significantly contribute to the evolving landscape of mental health and psychedelic research.
