In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Adalsteinn Brown (co-chair of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table) and Dr. David Williams (Ontario’s chief medical officer of health) discuss Ontario’s updated modelling data concerning the possible impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the province. Projections show that COVID-19 variants now likely make up between 5 and 10 per cent of Ontario's cases, and that the highly transmissible B.1.1.7 variant first detected in the United Kingdom will soon become dominant in the province.
