Phrasal Verbs: Drop Off
drop off = leave someone somewhere; leave something somewhere, usually before continuing on your way to somewhere else
(formality: casual, but can be formal sometimes)
(commonness: 8/10)
It's usually (but not always) used in a context of putting something somewhere before leaving to go somewhere else, or in the middle of a trip.
-Let's go get some dinner. I just gotta drop this package off a post office first.
-I know this is a big ask, but can you drop me off at the airport on Friday?
I hope that's clear. Let me know if you have questions 👇🏻
