Solo piano improvisation of Bill Evans' tune Peri's Scope. This tune featured on Bill's 1959 trio album Portrait in Jazz.
This is a pretty fun tune to play and improvise over. It's mostly a simple diatonic chord sequence that uses a ii,v,iii,vi progression a lot, with a chromatic descending pattern in the middle with an interesting heavily syncopated melody. Bill uses his classic block chord style a lot for the melody on his recording, with a lovely light melodic solo. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this tune :)
