New year, new me...new attempt at becoming a gamer. Now, what I learned from 2023 is that I was too ambitious. I reached too high. I thought I was ready to walk, when in fact I was not yet ready to even crawl. So I went back to my ROOTS. I played towards my strengths. I found a new, vaguely phantom of the opera themed point and click hidden object puzzle game and I. AM. THRIVING.
This is gaming as it was meant to be. This is why people play. I get it now.
Join me once more on my journey, my quest, to become a gamer. I am not equipped for this task. I will not be good at this task. BUT I will persevere. Watch the epic highs and lows of high school football (read: gaming) as I confidently, and with great gusto, work my way through this delightful game. I'm having fun, I hope YOUR having fun, as we watch me game. gamer. gaming. play through. let's play. buzzwords. seo. gaming gaming gamer.

IDK that's all I can think of. Maybe I'll ramble a bit:
Once upon a time there was a 30 year old millennial woman who missed the window where she could have learned to play video games with any skill or ease. It's not her fault, she didn't have access to anything but the original Nintendo and that only had Sonic, Wheel of Fortune, and Duck Hunt, and it was housed on a wheely cart that got tucked away in the attic when she was about six or seven years old, only to be brought out almost ten years later when the house got gifted a Wii. But by that point the damage was done. She had the hand-eye coordination of a goldfish, which means no hand eye coordination at all. She couldn't throw a saran-wrap ball through a door from three feet a way (a measurement that makes sense if you work in housekeeping and all the sheets are wrapped in saran wrap and you are trying to throw the used saran wrap into the hallway)
great. I just used saran wrap 5 times in this, now all the people looking to properly store their leftovers are going to be so confused.
but that's fine. ANYWAY this woman really leaned into the whole book nerd thing and let other's take on the mantle of Gamer UNTIL she realized, after watching a ton of Lore videos on Game Theory and GTLive, that video games actually have stories and aren't just a constant, dauntless, sisyphean circus of forever falling off the rainbow road.
SO, in her 30th year, with a mind toward growing her youtube channel to gain a bit of a following so when she tried to get her novel published (or self-publish), she decided to chronicle her journey to becoming the GREATEST GAMER GIRL THE WORLD HAD EVER KNOWN.
or more realistically become someone who COULD PLAY A VIDEO GAME AND WALK WITH CONFIDENCE DOWN A DIGITAL HALLWAY
she has yet to attain either goal. but she'll get there. I believe in her. How do I know?
She's me. And now she's 31.
Ok. that should hopefully be a juicy enough description to send it to all the people who enjoy watching someone try something and fail, but have an overall good attitude, who like having something to watch in the background, who enjoy longer videos, who like watching full playthorughs as opposed to speed runs, who like Lore (even if currently I'm too distracted trying to walk that the lore is somewhat alluding me), and who like watching the triumph of the human spirit, and are encouraged by people's fumbling attempts to grow a newfound skill.
I hope this email finds you well. If you've read this far...hi. Thank you. Please comment "Wow, you're the best gamer I've ever watched. How do you manage to play with such skill and finesse with so little experience?" And then put seven smirking emojis.
Drink plenty of water, make sure you get 7+ hours of sleep a night.
Ok, God bless, Jesus loves you and so do I.
