In a significant boost to the semiconductor industry, Micron has announced plans to invest $825 million across two phases. This investment, combined with financial contributions from Central and state governments, could see a total outlay of up to $2.75 billion. Sanjay Mehrotra, President and CEO of Micron, stated that this support from the government, which includes facilitating access to crucial semiconductor resources, will stimulate innovation and foster the development of local talent.
