tWWIItter is a series of films that imagines how World War Two would have been recorded if the men and women who fought and endured it had possessed 21st century technology.
80 years ago, David Crook was a 26 year old Spitfire pilot fighting in the Battle of Britain. It lasted from early July 1940 to the end of October.
The Royal Air Force’s British and foreign fighter pilots, immortalised by Winston Churchill at the battle’s end as The Few, took on the might of the German air force, now based in occupied France, as it targeted first shipping and ports, then airfields, and finally cities.
Based on David’s book, Spitfire Pilot, published in 1942, and his flight logs, this film tells the story of his first few days of intense combat with 609 Squadron.
The tWWIItter series is funded by Really Epic Ventures. The Executive Producer is Wayne Scholes.
Spitfire Pilot is published by Grub Street Publishing. [ Ссылка ]
