Classic Score Attack - Commander Tier
Loser's Bracket Round 4 - Match 138

First to 3, Standard Rules.
My fourth match in Classic Score Attack, Commander Tier, for Tri-Effect-A 2022.
Classic Score Attack is a mode inspired by the Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC). Using the rotation system from Nintendo's Tetris for the NES (Nintendo Rotation System right-handed, or Nintendo-A) and its colors, speed curves, and scoring system, two players compete side-by-side to obtain the highest score.
Unlike most modern multiplayer Tetris modes, Score Attack does not involve the players attacking each other. It's just "Who can get the better score, right here, right now." There is one caveat: if the player in the lead tops out, the opponent has two minutes to catch up or they lose the round.
And I'm out. Still two tournaments left.
I wanna blame RNG so much. But when both me and my opponent have the same piece order? Sorry, it's either I blew it or my opponent was better. And in this match, I'm leaning towards both. Ev0lveFyre was good and so was I.
A couple of inputs got dropped, but I have to believe that it happened on the other side, especially since it also happened to the top players in the Grand Master finals and in the Honda tournament last weekend. Again, no excuse there. Also, none of those dropped inputs was in any way fatal. When I did a disasterous misdrop, it was all me.
In the end, all I can say is I went down fighting and I'm proud of that. And congratulations to Ev0lveFyre and good luck in your upcoming matches.
