The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a European competition created in 1960 and discontinued in 1999. Its participating clubs were determined by the champions of each country's national cup. If the national cup champion was also the national league champion, the national cup runner-up would qualify for the tournament, as the national league champion competed in the European Cup (now Champions League).
In the 1990s, due to the expansion of clubs in the Champions League and the UEFA Cup (now Europa League), the Cup Winners' Cup saw a significant decline in its significance. This led to its final season in 1998-99 and its subsequent discontinuation.
All stages of the competition were included, from the preliminary rounds to the final, as well as tiebreaker matches
The points system used is the real one, without converting points for a win that started in the 1990s.
2 points for win (1960-61 - 1994-95)
3 points for win (1995-96 - 1998-99)
