A delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople visited Rome for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. Pope Francis welcomed them and discussed peace and unity between the Catholic and Russian Orthodox Churches.

The delegation gifted the Pope a gold icon of Mary and Jesus. This visit is usually reciprocated by the #Vatican on the Feast of St. Andrew.
