We went on the scenic 17-Mile Drive thru the Pacific Grove entrance to Carmel-by-the-sea as we cruised into the gorgeous sunset of Monterey California last October. On the next day, we made our way to Big Sur through the morning fog to Bixby Creek Bridge where HBO's Big Little Lies was filmed. Our journey was accompanied by the boundless skies, blue ocean waters, crashing sea waves and Monterey cypresses & pines, complete with autumnal visuals, sounds & scents.
Travelling has come to a halt for a few months now and is no longer something we can choose to do anytime soon. The world has come to a standstill so we can view & appreciate it the way it wants us to. Earth has called for a timeout so she can rest, and for us to do the same. Carmel-by-the-sea & Big Sur were exactly the same as where I'd left them, but as I was editing the clips, I've learnt to see this nature-gifted beautiful coastal scape through renewed lens.
