In the first hours of the liberation of Paris, on August, 25, 1944, on the Place of the Hotel de Ville, the general De GAULLE makes a speech with his famour "petite phrase" : " ... Paris ! Outraged Paris ! Broken Paris ! Martyred Paris, but liberated Paris ! Liberated by the people of Paris with help from the armies of France, ....."
