*Ingredients:*
- Milled Malt
Unspecified, but likely:
- 50% Barley (Pale or Pilsner)
- 50% Wheat Malt
- Styrian Goldings Hops
- WB-06 Yeast
- Whirlflock Tablet
- 300g Raspberries (not included)
*Equipment Required*
- Pots and Sieve
- Fermentation Bucket
- Thermometer
- Hydrometer
- Airlock
*Recipe*
1. Heat 2.1 Litres to 70°C
2. At 70°C Add Malt and Stir
3. Mash for 60 Minutes at 67°C
4. Check the temperature every 10 mins
5. Heat 3.8L of sparge water to 77°C
6. Sieve the grains
7. Start raising the temperature and Sparge (Rinse) the grains
8. Take a sample and Hydrometer Reading
Pre-Boil Gravity 1.044
9. Blend 300g Raspberries
10. Add 3g Styrian Goldings (60-minute addition)
11. Add 3g Styrian Goldings (30-minute addition)
12. Add 3g Styrian Goldings (10-minute addition) and Whirlflock Tablet (For Clarity)
13. Add 300g Blended Raspberries
14. 3g Styrian Goldings (0-minute addition)
15. Cool to 21°C
16. Transfer to Fermenter (Also Aerates the wort)
17. Take a sample and Hydrometer Reading
*ORIGINAL Gravity 1.054*
18. Add 4g Fermaid-0 Yeast Nutrient & Pitch WB-06 Yeast
19. Ferment for 10-14 days
20. Take a sample and Hydrometer Reading
*Final Gravity 1.008 (ABV 6%)*
21. Bottle or Keg the Beer
*The addition of Calcium Chloride Helps:*
- Lower PH Levels
- Improve Water Hardness
- Add Minerals (To Aid Fermentation in Distilled Water)
