The Spain team is one of the biggest EMT dislocated in the Republic of Moldova. The Spanish doctors and nurses are working at Moldexpo refugee centers from Chișinău. Five teams have been in the Republic of Moldova since the early days of the Ukrainian war to support the healthcare system to continue to provide medical assistance to refugees. Servicios de Asistencia Médica de Urgencias is the oldest emergency service in Spain, with over 2000 professionals.
The WHO Country Office in the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with Ministry of Health set up an Medical Emergency Teams Coordination Center to coordinate and supervise EMTs work in Ukrainian refugees crisis in the Republic of Moldova.
