Do you struggle falling asleep at night? You may be exposed to too much blue light! Bright light from laptops, computer monitors, cell phones, tablets and tvs contain an abundance of blue light wavelengths. Studies have shown that blue light disrupts the production of melatonin – your body’s natural sleep hormone.
Consider wearing blue light blocking glasses especially if you work with computers or other digital screens for long periods of time. You’ll also want to avoid your screens for 30 -45 minutes before going to bed. This will help your body produce melatonin more easily as the evening progresses...thus helping you to not only fall asleep much quicker and but also stay asleep.
