Steve was a very early and very proactive supporter of this project. Among others, he brought in Casey Driessen and Rev. Heng Sure, who in turn gave us a Mandarin Chinese version and a Chinese Sign Language version. Steve’s spirit really runs through this project, so when a few people emailed to say “Couldn’t there be a banjo ‘lesson’ for this song?” it was natural that I ask him for yet another favor. This is possibly my favorite “teaching video” ever, because he makes it fun, accessible, and above all, not scary. In his own words, “Steve Baughman takes the gourd banjo seriously. He has recorded an album entirely of gourd banjo solos. In this piece he demonstrates how complete the instrument can be all by its lonesome.”
You can read more about his gourd banjo, along with other musings and his own projects, on his own site at www.CelticGuitar.com, and see his original project version with Ryan Harlin at [ Ссылка ]
