The Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, now owned and operated by Dreamscape, is undergoing major renovations. The company's founder and CEO, Eric Birnbaum, discusses his vision for the property in an in-depth interview with Vegas Revealed. Birnbaum plans to restore the Rio to its former glory, with renovations already completed on 1500 rooms, the pool deck, and a new food hall. The casino floor is currently being remodeled, and a new bar and restaurant are set to open soon. Birnbaum also mentioned the possibility of developing the 22 acres of excess land that comes with the property, potentially for a sports venue. The Rio's long-standing shows, including Penn and Teller and Chippendales, will remain part of the hotel's entertainment portfolio.
