The Wolf and the Lamb is a famous fable by Aesop. It is about a wolf who sees a lamb by the water and tries to convince it they had unsolved issues. But the lamb dismisses all the charges until the wolf becomes bored. Guilty or not, the lamb should become his meal!
This fable tells the indisputable truth about the universal supremacy of brute force against everything else. It's really not important why wolfs eat lambs, they eat them anyway. Because it's what wolf does. The role of predator and the role of the victim is already set. Even the smartest argument can't change that.
The tyrant is always right.
The picture was painted by Jean-Baptiste Oudry in the 18th century. The original is owned by a private owner from Limoges.
