This is a trailer for the second of three documentaries we shot in the Greko and Griko towns of Southern Italy. The ancient/Byzantine Greeks left their mark, and it was amazing for us to see their legacy. This trailer is for the Greko area of Calabria, shot by Basil. Thanks to the help we received from Maria-Olimpia Squillaci, Danilo Brancati and Eleonora Petrulli.
The third film is set in Reggio where we met other Greko speakers, that trailer and documentary is ready later this year. Please find the time to support these amazing people. There are a range of associations, language campaigns and people you can support. Reach out to them.
Our Docos will end up on a channel here next year and a few international festivals. They were due to play in selected cinemas/venues across Australia, but due to Covid, stopped it.
The music in this trailer is from George Elis, one of the most significant musicians/conductors Australia has produced.
