Here's the recipe for this traditional British Apple Crumble - easy to make and tastes wonderful!
For the Crumble:
8 oz (200g) Self Raising Flour
4 oz (100g) Butter or margerine
4 oz (100g) Sugar (I used a mixture of 2 oz of Caster Sugar and 2 oz Brown Sugar - but you can just use regular white sugar)
half teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
For the Filling:
1 lb of Granny Smiths Apples or any of your favourite apple (cooking apples are just as good)
4 to 5 oz (100g to 150g) Sugar (if you are using cooking apples, they may need 5 oz (150g) as they are quite sour)
2 heaped tablespoons of Cornstarch (Cornflour)
Place in pre-heated oven for 30 minutes. Temp: 190c or 170c if fan assisted - that is 375f or gas mark 5
