Dramatic images show how people fled when a 33-year-old man with a sawn-off shotgun hijacked an ambulance in Oslo. The 33-year-old, who has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder, has acknowledged the actual hijacking but denies he attempted to kill anyone.
After the hijacking, savage driving followed around the Torshov area with police on wheels. Police fired at least 19 shots at the ambulance during the chase. Along the way, the ambulance drove on a stroller where there was a twin couple.
The hijacker was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated threats and violating the Road Traffic Act, the Firearms Act and drug laws.
