Jim Beam released a 10 year age stated Old Overholt straight rye whiskey. Old Overholt has traditionally been a bottom shelf rye, so this is a significant departure from their regular releases. Since it is as close in age to the heralded Booker's Rye as anything Beam offers, it is the same mash bill, and it is also cask strength, we discuss if this is a good alternative to the now unobtainable Booker's Rye.
