The question I wanted to ask is: Can you consider also accelerating the world's transition to sustainable agriculture, sustainable forest management, and reforesting 50% of the Earth's degraded land mass? (~40% solution to Climate Change)
I wanted to ask this because I've never heard Elon talk about reforestation / regenerative organic agriculture, etc., but the moderator said I had to ask a Tesla related question (which I stupidly did not have a Tesla question prepared and which is why I'm visibly salty haha), so the moderator gave me a question to ask.
I know Kimbal (Elon's brother) works closer to things like organic food, so I'm sure Elon must know about reforestation / regenerative organic agriculture, so I'm still curious to find out. If anyone has any insights on Elon and reforestation please discuss in comments!
I know Elon's got a lot on his plate and he probably doesn't have a deep passion for this, so it's probably up to me / all of us to accelerate this. I feel like Kimbal would be down for a joint venture to provide sustainable food to all AND REFOREST THE WORLD though. What do you say Kimbal?
The question the moderator gave me to ask was how big the Tesla energy business could be and Elon’s gut feeling was that it could be the same size as the car business in terms of revenue.
To everyone who thinks that Tesla forced me to ask the question, here's my response:
I stupidly didn't have a Tesla related question ready to ask, so the moderator kindly gave me a question to ask. (If I had a climate question that related specifically to Tesla, I could've asked it, for example: would Tesla consider making autonomous drones to help reforest the world / plant regenerative organic agriculture?)
I was salty that I couldn't ask my agriculture / climate related question and in the moment I said this was a question the moderator gave me, but it's just cuz I was disappointed. I regret giving off that vibe because I know some people will watch and misinterpret my feelings like Tesla controls the questions so I'm sorry for my feelings being misinterpreted by you. (Also, subconsciously I was hoping Elon would say it's ok for me to ask it)
I need to go to SXSW or something that's more of an open forum to ask a broad stroke question related to climate.
