On Monday, May 17th, according to the pollution index [Skyrocketed to 238] and Iran's Air Pollution Emergency Committee the quality of air was announced unhealthy due to the sandstorm which entailed shutting down schools, universities, offices as well as Iran's parliament.
The 238 contamination index is classified as "extremely unhealthy" and is only one category below the "hazardous condition" range, which is 301 to 500.
Experts consider Syria, Iraq, and the eastern and southeastern plains of Saudi Arabia to be the most important foreign centers of infiltration into Iran and say that the number of these centers has almost quadrupled in recent years.
