Bailey Wilkerson spent hours babying cancer cells in a KU lab so she could work on experiments to kill them. Wilkerson, a recent KU graduate, spent four years involved in experiments that targeted breast cancer cells and left healthy cells alone. As a junior, she proposed her own project, which earned her an Undergraduate Research Award during her senior year.
