**** I am not a professional framer or roofer nor do I claim to be. As stated in the first 5 Seconds of the video this is just an awning that I half-ass through together while I was wearing a foot boot with a fractured ankle.... **** if i was a professional, i would have used the correct wood, fasteners, and proper cuts. please consult a professional contractor before any project. this trick worked for me in this scenario, this may not work for every project.
Also keep in mind that you must measure and mark the upper and lower at the same time before you cut. If you measure one and then make a cut, and then attempt to make the second cut, the angles will not be correct you must do them at the same time.
please do not post negative comments about how I am a moron for not using all the voodoo magic math... this is an awning for my front door, not a 4 story building.
