She expressed her delight and thanked director Rahul V Chittella for the opportunity to play Kusum Batra. This marks her third National Film Award, following wins for Mausam (1976) and Abar Aranye (2003). Rishab Shetty also received the Best Actor award at the 70th National Film Awards for his performance in Kantara. He expressed his gratitude for the honor and the film's strong impact, especially in the Kannada industry.
