NHS England figures show that waiting times for routine hospital treatment have reached another record high of 7.1 million people.

Ambulance response times are also now the worst on record, made worse by less than half of hospital patients being discharged on time due to a lack of capacity in social care.

Health leaders face say they face a "tripledemic" this winter - of COVID-19, flu and unprecedented demand.
