Water accounting for the SDGs: How accounting for multiple water values can be used for sustainable development? – A side event at the UN 2023 Water Conference
Organized by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian National University’s Fenner School of Environment and Society and the United Nations Statistics Division, this event, held on 21 March 2023, will discuss how water accounting will support sustainable development. Water accounting is supported by the System of Environmental Economic Accounting (SEEA) which is the international statistical framework for organizing water data and linking it to economic activities. This event is conducted as an interactive dialogue between users and producers of water accounts and water related information, with high-level speakers, a panel discussion, and opportunities for questions.
