Major flooding hit the Toronto area on Tuesday and tens of thousands of people lost power after severe storms passed through parts of southern Ontario.

Flooding on the Don Valley Parkway caused several vehicles to be partially submerged in water, leading to the closure of much of the highway.

Lake Shore Boulevard also experienced flooding, causing the closure of British Columbia Street to Strachan Avenue. Flooding was also reported at Toronto's Union Station.
