Comedian Christine Blackburn (Creator/Producer of Story Worthy, Story Smash The Storytelling Game Show, and My Life In 3 Songs) shares songs she always wanted to share, but couldn't. This entire episode is dedicated to my hero, Neil Young.
The first song is from Rust Never Sleeps, "My My Hey Hey." Christine remembers the first time she hear the album which is acoustic on side one, and electric on side two. She was blown away there were 2 versions of "My My Hey Hey," and on the flip side, "Hey Hey My My." How could he do this? Her brother explained, "Because he's an artist."
The next song is from the album Harvest and the song is "Alabama." Christine says the bass drum in the background, breaks her heart. She loves the song so much, she named her daughter, Alabama.
Finally, Christine brings the song "Campaigner," from the album Decade and later on the album Hitchhiker. They are both compilation albums and "Campaigner" is the last song on both albums. This song is often overlooked in Neil's catalog, but Christine finds it one of the best.
