On April 2, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan River-crossing Link Project completed the first round of the bottom plate’s welding and the inclined bottom plate was put in place. The assembly of the non-navigable bridge in the flood diversion zones of Hengmen by China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group (CRSBG, a subsidiary of CREC) is also under way. Looking at the assembly site now it appears as if it is in the midst of “spring ploughing".
Located in the Pearl River Delta, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan River-crossing Link is a super large world-class cross-sea cluster project, connecting Shenzhen with Zhongshan and Jiangmen. CRSBG is responsible for producing steel structures weighing about 92,000 tons for the project. It is predicted that the project will kick off large segmental assembly in early May.
