This Method works at the moment. It is a relatively unknown loophole, and thanks to those that helped me find the solution (forums) credit to you.
This is relating to google, accounts including gmail in particular. And should work if followed carefully.
There are issues realting to some accounts that were created before the takeover of Youtube by Google not showing the unlink option under account settings. Newer accounts may not have this option available.
